Smaller Knee Brace

So although it's not exactly brand new I am just now getting around to putting up pictures of my new brace. It's definately not what I thought it would be. But apparently this one is supposed to be better than those black metal ones you see around (or that Jensa wears ;) ) Anyway, I really only have to wear this one if I'm working out, playing sports, or walking where it's super icy and what not. I'm pretty dang excited that I never have to wear my other one again!!!

Also... I just went to my last physical therapy session last friday. And although I still have to work with the school trainer, that's still 4 more hours a week that I don't have to spend working on my knee!!!! =)

Ward Talent Show

So my ward had a combined FHE with another ward this week. And when mom found out I was performing she got pretty excited (I'm sure she thought I was going to play the piano or something) But I actually ended up doing a skit with my friends that is a spoof off of a cartoon... It was pretty much a hit. And it was really fun to do!

And I apologize... If you haven't seen the YouTube video called "Potter Puppet Pals- Ticking Noise" this probably isn't that funny...

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!!!

So yesterday was Superbowl Sunday and it was pretty crazy! After going to my relief society meeting before church, then going to church, and making hot wings for the party I went to my coaches house. My entire team went over and we ate tons of food and watched the game (where I was the only one cheering for the Steelers!!!) We eventally bailed on that party and went over to my neighbors where we watched the end. I'm not gonna lie- It was probably the best/ most intense Superbowl I've ever watched!!!

Bring It On Mother Nature!

So we got over 16 inches of snow over the period of about a day and a half earlier this week. And it doesn't help that it's still in the twenties so none of it is melting... But just to show mother nature I wasn't going to let her get me down (and to do a little service) I spent 2 hours out in the snow (while it was still snowing- I know... not a great idea) and I scrapped snow and ice off of a TON of cars. I figured it would be one less thing that the snow would ruin that day. It wasn't too bad, although the snow did soak through my jeans fairly quickly. But it felt good to serve other people... plus one of my neighbors saw me out in the cold and brought out some hot cocoa! =)

An Eventful Weekend

This weekend there was a ton that went on! I went to an institute dance, watched a gymnastics meet, went down to St. George, and threw a party! It was pretty amazing!

A Little Less Wise

I went to the dentist over the break and discovered that I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed... So I flew home for the weekend (out of Vegas) and got the taken out. I though I was doing just great after day one- where I really only got chocolate shake ALL over myself and sent out "drunken" texts. But day two was when I started to hurt. Mom, Dad, and I went up to Santa Barbara to see Brittany play... but I kinda threw up all over myself in the car. The rest of the weekend went by without too much trouble. I got to see a lot of people again and go to Jamie Pinkston's farewell... So on monday I flew out- but not before having mom take me to Red's (with Breranne and Tela) where I got some mashed potatoes, rolls, and bbq sauce to take back with me to Utah. I then stopped at Nielsen's Frozen Custard on the drive back. All in all, a great day! (Other than the constant pain and puffy cheeks) =)

Home For The Holidays

It was a very eventful break! ( and I can't figure out how to get my pictures in order) But Nathan, Suni, some of Nathan's friends and I went to the Santa Monica pier for a while, then to Universal Studios City Walk for New Years Eve! There was an 80's cover band, TONS of people, and fireworks! =) ... sadly, no New Years kiss this year...

This is Breanne and I hitting up the beach one last time before I went home! ... I think I went about 4 or 5 times while I was home. And I think it gets prettier each time (man I hate mountains now...)

Dannelle was virtually our only form of entertainment... and man is she cute! (I miss her!!!!)

And this is a picture of the sunset up in SLO. I made three, count em, THREE trips up there to hang out with Brittany and watch her play basketball. It's so pretty up there!

And last but not least, here's a picture of only some of the cookies I made... For the record i baked over 38 dozen! Chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, and froster sugar cookies!!! (this was so that mom didn't have to go out and buy or bake for our neighbors and friends) I like to think I was helpful this Christmas with making those and pretty much cleaning the entire house, then decorating the inside and outside! I guess you could say that I was Santa's little helper =)

.............Thanksgiving Break

This Thanksgiving weekend was just the break I needed it to be. I got to sleep in, go to the movies, hang out with some friends from SLCC, go to a Jazz game, see the temple lights, eat tons of food, go shopping, hang out with my family! Life doesn;t get much better... although I'm sure it will over Christmas break =)

Twilight Weekend!

So the greatest weekend ever occured when my two loves combined: Twilight and Family. =) I saw Twilight at midnight with my friend in Delta, then drove up and got to see Jensa, Ryan, Ava and Chase! ... Then got to see Twilight again with Jensa!!! (It's better round 2)

The Bum Leg

Exactly 7 weeks ago today that I tore my ACL. Which means 6 weeks since surgery. Has it really only been that long?! Honestly, this has been the longest 6 weeks of my life thus far. I'm practically dying here trying to keep myself sane. I feel so limited. There's still so much I can't do, and I've had a few set backs which have put me behind schedule for healing fast... Why does everyone else's life get to go on while mine has stopped?

Okay, I'll stop bumming you out and show you how the leg is looking now...

Cedar City knows how to party!

So last night was Halloween. And let me tell you, our school went all out! Not only was almost every person at school dressed up for classes, but the campus was decked out with TONS of decorations... and those of you who attended Utah State probably know what I'm talking about when I say "The Howl". Well, we here in southern Utah like to throw one of our own. It was tons of fun getting dressed up, dancing, seeing friends, dancing, watching an illusionist, dancing and ...dancing! =) Here's a picture of the "dance floor" and me with two of my teammates.

Ward Halloween Party!

So every year our ward here puts on a Halloween party for family night inside the airport hanger. (Mind you, it is Cedar City,, so its not exactly ginormous) but our bishop used to be a pilot so he's got some pretty sweet connections! I helped to set up for it and really enjoyed that night. I was tons of fun! We had dinner, learned a new line dance, did karaoke, and just screwed around. Here's a picture of me and my roommate Brianne. I let her borrow my other cape and be my side kick for the night! =)

Bon Fire

We went up the canyon a bit the other night to start a bon fire. It was freezing cold, but the fire made it bareable. Note to self- 19 year old guys and fires don't mix well!

Two Whole Decades

So yesterday was my twentieth birthday and it was so different in contrast to last year! Last year I went shopping, had a huge party at my house, then went to the club... this year however was more low key. I watched some conference while opening presents, went down to St. George to get a massage, hit up Neilsen's on my way home, went to dinner with my team, played Guitar Hero, ate some cake, and went to the hot tub (where i really only had one leg in). So although it was not as exciting as last year, it was still very fun-and relaxing! =)

New Haircut! ... New Attitude?

So when mom was still out here helping me get around she took me to get my haircut and a pedicure... pretty sure my haircut was my favorite part! I love it! I actually cut off around 13 inches and donated it to Locks For Love. As you can tell the cut was much needed. I hadn't cut or trimmed my hair since last Thanksgiving! ...Maybe this new look will help me not be as bummed out?
