We recently studied the life cycle in my second grade class. We got six eggs and only two of them hatched.
The students named them Fluffy and Bob. They were soooo excited to have some classroom pets. These chicks were adorable and not too high maintenance.
Although listening to them all day long was a bit distracting... It was nice to use petting the chicks as an incentive for them to get their work done.

oh im so jealous! we used to do that all the time when we were little- but what happens to them once they grow up?
